Terms of Service
Plain English summary: AgendaBurn helps teams estimate meeting cost and create debriefs. Use it fairly, do not abuse the platform, keep your own data backed up, and remember that cost and AI outputs are estimates, not professional advice.
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using AgendaBurn ("the Service") at agendaburn.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. The Service
AgendaBurn is a real-time meeting cost tracker and debrief tool. It calculates estimated meeting costs based on information you enter or import, such as attendees, roles, salaries, rates, and meeting duration. It may also help create summaries, decisions, action items, reports, and exports.
Cost figures, summaries, AI outputs, and reports are estimates and productivity aids only. They are not accounting records, payroll calculations, financial advice, legal advice, HR advice, or compliance records. Do not rely on AgendaBurn as the sole source for billing, payroll, legal, tax, employment, or financial decisions.
3. Accounts and subscriptions
Free tier. You can use AgendaBurn with up to 3 attendees at no cost, without creating an account.
Pro subscription. Pro features may include additional attendees, calendar integrations, exports, reports, Slack sharing, AI-assisted debriefs, or other features listed in the product. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe.
Verification. Access to Pro features requires verifying your email address. We use a one-time code sent to your email to confirm your identity.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal or another cancellation flow we provide. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise required by law.
4. Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe and AgendaBurn to charge your payment method for the plan and billing interval you select, plus applicable taxes.
Refund policy. Unless required by law or stated otherwise at purchase, payments are non-refundable after the billing period begins. We may offer refunds at our discretion. To request a refund, email support@agendaburn.com.
We may change pricing or plan features from time to time. If a change materially affects an active paid subscription, we will provide notice where required and the change will apply no earlier than your next billing period unless you agree otherwise.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Service
- Circumvent subscription verification (e.g. by manipulating browser storage to fake Pro status)
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use the Service in a way that could harm, overload, or disrupt our infrastructure
- Upload, enter, or transmit content that infringes others' rights, violates privacy laws, or contains unlawful material
- Use AI, calendar, Slack, Zoom, email, or export features in a way that violates third-party terms or applicable law
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service
6. Your data
You are responsible for the meeting data, attendee information, salary/rate information, notes, summaries, exports, and other content you enter, import, or share through AgendaBurn. You represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions to use that content with the Service.
Free users: meeting history and salary data are stored locally in your browser only. No meeting data is uploaded to AgendaBurn servers. Clearing your browser data will permanently delete your local history.
Pro users: when signed in, meeting history is securely stored in AgendaBurn's database (hosted on Neon Postgres) and associated with your account email. This enables cross-device access to your history. You may delete individual meetings or your entire history at any time from within the app. We do not sell, share, or use your meeting data for any purpose other than providing the Service.
If you use integrations, AI summaries, email reports, Slack sharing, or other connected features, information needed to complete those actions may be sent to the relevant provider or recipient. See our Privacy Policy for details.
7. AI features
AgendaBurn may provide AI-assisted summaries, decisions, action items, or debriefs. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your context. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving AI-generated content before relying on it or sharing it.
If you provide your own AI API key or connect an external AI provider, you are responsible for complying with that provider's terms and privacy policy.
8. Integrations
Optional integrations, including Google Calendar, Apple Calendar/ICS, Slack, Zoom, email delivery, payment services, analytics, and error monitoring, are subject to those services' own terms and policies. You are responsible for ensuring you have permission to connect accounts, import events, send reports, or post content to third-party services.
9. Intellectual property
AgendaBurn and its content, design, branding, workflows, and code are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, resell, or create derivative works from the Service except as expressly allowed by us in writing.
You retain ownership of content you enter into AgendaBurn. You grant us a limited license to process that content only as needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service, and to operate features you request.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that cost estimates, AI summaries, integrations, reports, or exports will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific purpose.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AgendaBurn will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or decisions made based on meeting cost estimates, AI output, reports, or integrations.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose or (b) $100.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold AgendaBurn harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your use of third-party integrations.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the Service or other users, or use the Service unlawfully. You may stop using the Service at any time. Termination does not automatically entitle you to a refund.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the applicable state or jurisdiction in which AgendaBurn operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise. Before filing a claim, both sides agree to try to resolve disputes in good faith by contacting support@agendaburn.com.
